"Managing the marketing function begins with a complete
analysis of the company’s situation. The marketer should conduct a SWOT
analysis, by which it evaluates the company’s overall strengths (S),
weaknesses (W), opportunities (O), and threats (T)" (Armstrong & Kotler pg. 55) Philieas Fogg’s
Perfect Polish Perogies is a brand that faces many challenges but also has vast
opportunities in the near future. One of the main strengths of Philieas Fogg’s
Perfect Polish Perogies is the fact that it is a organic and high-quality
snack, opening the consumer market to not only the average snack-food consumer
but those who are care about what they eat as well. Another strength would be
the simple quality of the product. Being organic and a gluten free,
every consumer is satisfied in the end. A significant weakness of the brand is
the limited target market. Being an adult snack food associated with alcohol,
the hope of selling to children is pretty dim. "It [the company] should
analyze company strengths and weaknesses as well as current and possible
marketing actions to determine which opportunities it can best pursue." (Armstrong & Kotler pg. 55) As
stated before, Phileas Fogg’s Perfect Polish Perogies has many opportunities. Expansion
as a brand is a very realistic and revolutionary opportunity for the brand.
Creating different products can boost sales and the size of the brand as a
whole. A potential threat to the company
would be the losing consumers to the cheaper snack food choices they are
presented with. Being a high-quality snack food, Phileas Fogg’s Perfect Polish
Perogies is sold at slightly higher price than the average snack food.
