The anxiety behind a first tattoo
is quite a bit for anyone to handle. The simple fact of getting permanent
artwork done on the skin you’re going to be walking in for the rest of your
life is a lot to take in. There is also the worry of mistakes by or
miscommunication between the artist and you, the client. Accordingly, the
tattoo shop’s customer service has to be to par in order to make clients feel
more secure to go through with the purchase and in draw new clientele. Being a
mere seventeen years old, parents by my side, walking into Blue Horseshoe
Tattoo looking to get my first tattoo was a daunting task. As soon as I crossed
the threshold into the shop I was greeted with smiles and welcomes. The man at
the counter welcomes me into the store and tended to my every need and question.
He then introduced to the artist who would be working on me. She had nothing positive
energy throughout the whole process. She guided me through the whole process
and made it as enjoyable for me as possible. I can truly say that I was treated as a guest, not a customer. From then on, I have not stepped
foot in another shop for any of my tattoos. "Customer relationship management is perhaps the most important concept of modern marketing." (Marketing An Introduction. 10th Edition pg. 13 Armstrong/Kotler)
